Guildwood Cat Relief

Guildwood Cat Relief is a small, private network of foster homes that work together to find loving, permanent homes for cats and kittens in need.

Our kitties come from east Scarborough and further afield and include many that have been abandoned or surrendered due to their owner's illness, allergies, loss of housing or financial crisis. Some are young and some are old; some are healthy and some need restorative veterinary care.

Update: April 4, 2021

The province of Ontario has now issued an emergency-brake as of April 3, 2021. Guildwood Cat Relief is still operating, however we are currently taking the following measures to ensure everyone's safety.

1. Adoptions, Foster-to-Adopt, Fostering Applications
We are still accepting applications as usual. However because we are unable to personally introduce the cats to their new homes, we are unable to bring cats to their new homes. We do have a couple of cats that are comfortable with new people and they can be brought to their new homes without us doing the formal introductions. Please stay tuned for our new arrivals that will be posted under the "available kitties" section on this website.

2. Intake or Emergency Intake
We are always open for intake, and never turn a kitty away if they are in need of assistance. We do ask if you are surrendering your kitty, please make sure you provide us with their most recent vaccination papers.

3. Volunteer Applications
We are still unable to accept any new volunteer applications at this time. We will keep you posted when this changes.

If you have any other questions or concerns, please contact us at the following:

We hope everyone stays safe during this difficult time.
